I’m Daneen Khan, a senior at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill studying journalism and information science. You can find my work at publications across North Carolina and Georgia, including The Current GA, The Daily Tar Heel, INDY Week and the Southern Environmental Law Center. I am currently a digital intern at WUNC News.

I’m passionate about digital-first news media, especially at the intersections of reporting, community service and design. My dream job is graphics reporting (fun fact: I’ve won multiple Society of News Design awards for my projects!), but as long as I’m helping the news resonate with people—especially those who are often overlooked or misrepresented in legacy media—I’m eager to keep up the important work.
